Careers
Small teams. Real mandates.
We work with government agencies, international development organizations and revenue-stage companies that need results they can measure. The teams are deliberately small, which means the work you do is visible and yours.
Current openings
No open roles right now
We hire in small numbers and only when a mandate is funded, so this page is often empty. That is deliberate — we would rather show nothing than list a role we cannot actually fill.
We do read speculative applications. If your work overlaps with ours, send a short note and a CV to info@coloursglobal.com with Speculative application in the subject line. Tell us what you have actually delivered and what you want to do next. We reply to everyone, though it can take a couple of weeks.
How we hire
-
A short written exchange
We ask two or three questions about work you have actually done. No take-home exercise longer than an hour, and we do not ask for unpaid work that we could use.
-
A conversation with the people you would work with
Not a panel. The person who would rely on your work, and one other.
-
A working session
We look at a real problem together — a redacted one from a live mandate where we can, an old one where we cannot. This is paid if it runs beyond two hours.
-
References and an offer
We tell you the range before this stage, not after.
What we look for
-
You can show your work
Evidence over assertion. We care what you measured and what it cost, not what the deck claimed.
-
You say when something is not working
Most of the value we add comes from telling a client something inconvenient early. That is easier to do if you already do it internally.
-
You can operate without scaffolding
Small teams mean fewer handoffs and less process. That suits some people and not others, and it is worth being honest with yourself about which.
-
You write clearly
Almost everything we deliver is read by someone senior who was not in the room. Clear writing is not a nice-to-have here.
