Privacy Notice

Colours Global, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Colours", "we", "us"), operates coloursglobal.com. This Privacy Notice explains what personal information our website collects, why, and what choices and rights you have. It describes the website only, not any services Colours may deliver under a separate client agreement.
What information we collect
Our website is informational in nature. We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers, and we do not build profiles of visitors. We collect only what you type into the contact form on this site when you contact us:
- Contact form: if you contact us directly via our website, we collect your name, email address, organization (optional), the topic you select, and the message you write, so that we can respond to your message.
Our newsletter is published on Substack. This website has no signup form of its own: if you choose to subscribe, you do so on Substack's site, and Substack collects your email address under its own privacy policy. As publisher of the newsletter we can see our subscriber list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and this site is not directed to children. Because we do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising per California privacy rights laws (CCPA/CPRA), a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link is not provided on our website.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. Two things are kept in your own browser's local storage:
- Your light/dark theme preference.
- If you open the site with an editing link - used only by Colours Global staff - it keeps that draft text, and the flag that turns editing on, in your own browser until you clear it.
Nothing from either case is sent to us. You can clear this at any time through your browser's site-data controls. Because none of it is used for tracking or advertising, no consent banner is presented.
Third parties
Typefaces, and the country-boundary data used by the impact map, are served from this site itself rather than from a content delivery network, so loading a page on this site contacts no other host. Links from this site to Substack, such as our newsletter signup and the articles listed on our Insights page, take you to Substack's own site only when you follow them. The following third parties are used to operate the website and our newsletter:
- Vercel Inc.: hosts this website and serves every page.
- Resend: provides email delivery services.
- Google Workspace: hosts the mailbox for business email.
- Substack Inc.: publishes our newsletter and handles newsletter subscriptions and email delivery.
Vercel receives your IP address and browser user-agent because your browser requests files from it. It does not receive anything you type unless you submit a form. When you submit a form, the data is processed securely through our website hosting environment and emailed to Colours Global via Resend. The message is then held in our business mailbox, hosted by Google Workspace. It is not written to any other database. We do not sell or share anyone's personal information, and we have never done so.
How long we keep it
Inquiries live in our email system. We retain them for up to 24 months after our last exchange with you. Newsletter subscriptions are held by Substack until you unsubscribe. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, please contact us.
Your choices
Depending on where you live (such as the UK, European Union, or various US states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS only, and form submissions are transmitted over TLS. Credentials for our email provider are held on the server and are never sent to your browser. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this Privacy Notice, we will update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
