Our commitment
Colours Global is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Standard we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the W3C in October 2023.
What we have done
- Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and a visible focus indicator meets the 3:1 contrast requirement in both light and dark themes.
- Text and interface colours are checked against the 4.5:1 (text) and 3:1 (non-text) contrast ratios.
- Headings follow a single, unskipped hierarchy, and a "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element.
- Form fields have visible labels, and error messages are announced to assistive technology and programmatically linked to the field they describe.
- Images that convey meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Animation is reduced automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
Known limitations
We are working on the following:
- The interactive world map on the impact section conveys country data visually; the same countries are also listed in text beneath it, but the map itself is not fully operable by keyboard.
- This site has not yet been audited by an independent third party, and has not been tested against the full range of assistive technologies.
